Machine Overview

Maximum Output. Minimum Footprint.

The Mac 300 puts four servo-driven filling heads on one compact platform. Designed for toothpaste, pharmaceutical cream, and high-volume personal care lines that demand consistent output above 200 tubes per minute without doubling floor space.

300 Tubes / Min

Four independently servo-controlled filling heads running in synchrony deliver Pacmac's highest tube output per minute.

Quad Servo Dosing

Each head has its own servo pump with individually calibrated fill weight — critical for toothpaste and pharmaceutical batch records.

Rapid Changeovers

Tool-free format parts for all four heads change in parallel. Tube diameter change under 45 minutes by a single operator.

Central HMI

Unified touchscreen HMI managing all four heads, recipe libraries, batch tracking, and OEE reporting from one interface.

GMP Ready

316L stainless steel contact surfaces, CIP-compatible design, and IQ/OQ documentation support for pharmaceutical validation.

High-Line Integration

Designed for direct coupling to high-speed Pac Nova cartoners — I/O and Ethernet interfaces included as standard.

Common Questions

Frequently Asked Questions

Everything you need to know about the Mac 300 four head tube filling machine.

The Mac 300 handles laminated tubes, plastic tubes, and aluminium tubes depending on the closing configuration. The Hot Air (HA) configuration seals laminated and plastic tubes up to 50 mm diameter. The Metal (AL) configuration handles aluminium fold-and-crimp tubes up to 40 mm diameter. The Combination model supports both tube materials on one machine — enabling flexible production without a dedicated AL or HA platform.

The Mac 300 is deployed primarily in oral care (toothpaste), pharmaceutical (topical creams and ointments), and cosmetics (hair dye, sunscreen, face cream) sectors. Its four-head configuration is optimal for single-SKU high-volume lines running 3 shifts per day where the lowest cost-per-tube is the key production metric.

The four servo pumps on the Mac 300 handle fill volumes from 2 ml up to 300 ml. Each head has an independently calibrated servo pump so all four heads dispense the same validated fill weight simultaneously. The system handles both low-viscosity fluids and high-viscosity pastes such as toothpaste, pharmaceutical ointments, and cosmetic creams without product waste between cycles.

The Mac 300 fills a wide range of products: toothpaste, pharmaceutical creams and ointments, cosmetic gels, sunscreen, hand cream, eye cream, antiseptic cream, shaving gel, hair dye, tooth gel, wound healing gel, foot care cream, and industrial pastes. The quad servo pumps handle viscosities from water-thin liquids to stiff, stringy pastes without product cavitation or dosing error across any of the four heads.

The Mac 300 doubles the Mac 200's output with four heads versus two — up to 300 tubes per minute versus 150. The machine length and mechanical complexity increase proportionally, but the floor footprint-per-tube is significantly lower than running two Mac 200 units. For greenfield projects at scale, or for lines that have already outgrown the Mac 200, the Mac 300 delivers the lowest cost per tube and the fewest line integration points.

The Mac 300 is available in Hot Air (HA) for laminated and plastic tubes, Metal (AL) for aluminium fold-and-crimp tubes, and Combination for lines that run both tube materials. The HA configuration supports decorative trim seals, embossed finishes, and punch holes for hang-sell retail packaging. The AL configuration offers single fold, double fold, saddle fold, and branded crimp styles across all four closing stations.

The Mac 300 features tool-free changeovers on all four heads simultaneously. Format parts — tube holders and closing dies — are quick-release and labelled per tube SKU. All four heads change in parallel, so a tube diameter changeover is typically completed in under 45 minutes by a single operator. Pacmac pre-configures all format sets to your specific tube portfolio before delivery.

Yes. All Mac 300 machines are supplied with IQ/OQ documentation packages, 316L stainless steel contact surfaces, and calibrated servo dosing for batch-record accuracy. The HMI stores batch records, alarm logs, and recipe parameters for regulatory audit. Pacmac's applications team supports the complete validation lifecycle from FAT through site qualification and re-validation after product changes.

At 300 tubes per minute, the Pac Nova high-speed continuous motion cartoner is the recommended downstream partner. Pacmac designs the full tube-filling-to-cartoning line layout and provides I/O integration between both machines, including line speed matching, reject handling coordination, and MES data exchange. The combined Mac 300 + Pac Nova line is Pacmac's highest-throughput tube packaging solution.

The Mac 300 is designed and manufactured by Pacmac. Every machine undergoes factory acceptance testing (FAT) before shipment. After-sales support includes on-site commissioning, operator and maintenance training, spare parts supply, and remote diagnostics via the HMI Ethernet interface. Pacmac's service team supports customers globally throughout the machine lifecycle.
