Pac Glide Continuous Motion Cartoning Machine

Continuous motion means the carton chain never stops — products are inserted while cartons move at constant speed. This eliminates the deceleration and acceleration cycles of intermittent motion, enabling sustained output above 100 cartons per minute with lower mechanical stress on both the carton and the machine. The result is higher throughput efficiency, reduced vibration, and a smoother integration with upstream filling and downstream bundling equipment.

The Pac Glide handles carton widths from 30 mm to 150 mm, heights from 20 mm to 100 mm, and lengths from 50 mm to 300 mm. Stored servo positions per recipe allow the machine to self-adjust to a saved carton format in minutes. Standard end-load carton formats with tucked-end or glued-end closing are supported.

The Pac Glide handles tubes, blister packs, bottles, sachets, coils, and ampules. It is the standard downstream cartoner for Mac 200 tube filling lines at mid-to-high speeds. Multiple product feeders can be configured for combination packs. Custom infeed conveyors and product guides are engineered to your specific product format during the application phase.

Yes. The Pac Glide standard configuration includes a servo-driven leaflet feeder synchronised with the carton chain. Missing-insert detection automatically rejects incomplete packs before they reach the discharge conveyor. Multi-page, fan-fold, and outsert formats are available. The leaflet feeder runs at full line speed — up to 150 inserts per minute — with 100% presence verification.

The Pac Glide is matched to Mac 200 and Mac 300 tube filling lines. Pacmac designs the full filling-to-cartoning layout and provides coordinated I/O control across both machines, including speed matching, reject coordination, and MES connectivity. The Pac Glide is also configurable for blister machine, vial line, bottle line, or ampule line integration.

Yes. The Pac Glide is supplied with optional IQ/OQ documentation packages for regulated pharmaceutical lines. Contact surfaces are stainless steel and construction is cGMP-compliant. The HMI provides batch records, alarm logs, and 21 CFR Part 11 audit trail capability. Pacmac's applications team supports FAT and on-site site qualification.

The Pac Glide supports inline thermal inkjet (TIJ), thermal transfer overprint (TTO), or laser coding for variable data — batch number, expiry date, serial number — applied and camera-verified before carton closing. Integration with serialisation and track-and-trace systems is available as an option for pharmaceutical lines.

The Pac Glide is designed and manufactured by Pacmac. Every machine undergoes factory acceptance testing (FAT) before shipment. After-sales support includes on-site commissioning, operator and maintenance training, spare parts supply, and remote diagnostics via the HMI Ethernet interface.
